Who We Are

We are the Holt family.  The Little Holts to be exact. We got the nickname when our family was just starting out and we lived with my husband's family.  It could get confusing at times having the same last name when we talked to people or about each other as a family, so we became the Little Holts.  Our kids were little, our family was young. Now we have seven children and our family isn't so little anymore!  We homeschool, and mostly love it.  I have been asked frequently over the years how we do it.  How do we homeschool, how do we keep the house running, how do I survive and keep my sanity?  Sometimes your guess is as good as mine, but we seem to manage.  I'm frequently asked if I have a blog that friends can go to to check out what it's like in a day of school for us.  I guess I feel like it is finally time to do just that and I finally have a direction I'd like to take things.  Life is crazy, and homeschool and a big family add to that craziness.  We try to enjoy the ride and learn as we go.  I hope you can enjoy that ride with us as I work on the blog and give you a peek at what homeschool can look like.  It's different for every family, and even for each child in a family.  I hope to show you how to make it work for your's one day at a time.
